Department of Samhita Sanskrit Evum Siddhanta deals with the core subject of Ayurveda which conduct Sanskrit, Padartha Vigyan evum Ayurved Itihas, Maulik Siddhanta evum Astanga Hridaya Sutrasthana in First professional BAMS course, Charak Samhita(purvardha) in Second professional BAMS course, Charak Samhita (uttardha) in third professional BAMS course, along with Research Methodology and Medical Statistics in fourth professional BAMS course. Through these Ayurvedic compendia teaching this department creates interest of the BAMS student in ancient Ayurvedic literature and concept. Ayurvedic Samhitas are the treasure house for the extension of Ayurveda. Presently the department is involved with the undergraduate teaching of first professional BAMS.
Department of Kayachikitsa
The department of Kaya Chikitsa, North Eastern Institute of Ayurveda & Folk Medicine Research (NEIAFMR), is currently engaged in providing outpatient and inpatient services in the hospital. As the department has not received any students yet hence it is concentrating solely in hospital activities.

Department of Prasuti Tantra and Stree Roga (PTSR) is one of the clinical departments of North Eastern Institute of Ayurveda and Folk Medicine Research (NEIAFMR), an Autonomous Institute under Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. The Department deals with female patients of all age groups. It ensures the Obstetrical and Gynaecological management of the patients.
Department of Panchakarma
The main objective of the department of Panchakarma, is to impart teaching, training, research and to provide quality health care services to the patients through Panchakarma. The Panchakarma department of Ayurveda Hospital is now fully functional and is rendering hospital services at both OPD level along with specialised Panchakarma therapies by trained Panchakarma technicians under the supervision of Panchakarma specialists with great significance. The department started rendering OPD services since 2018.
The Panchakarma department is in fast expansion and gaining popularity in the region and expected to be one of the most important and popular Panchakarma centres in the region and the country and also an attraction for health tourism in near future
