A Thematic Medicinal Plant Garden has been developed at NEIAFMR with an Aquatic pond, Orchidarium and Vermicompost tank. The number of species of the Thematic Medicinal Garden is given in the table below as per the habit of the plants.
A nursery is being developed for the cultivation and development of agro-techniques of a few important Medicinal Plants of North East India. This project is targeted to raise seedlings of certain endemic high demanded medicinal plant through mass propagation, which will be distributed to local farmers for cultivation.
